IKAR's HRA devices offer both Fall Protection and Rescue/Recovery of 1 person, up to 136kg, making them ideal and cost effective devices for those working in confined space environments.
In the case of a rescue, the rescue/recovery function can be quickly activated by snapping the side handle into place. The cable drum is now permanently locked to the handle shaft and by rotating the handle the casualty can be either lifted or lowered to safety. The rescue/recovery function can be activated whether the cable is on free run or from the locked position after an arrested fall.
The unit's housing is made from robust aluminium whilst the wire rope is galvanised steel.
Available in the following cable lengths: 12m, 18m, 24m, 30m, 42m, 65m.
The unit can be fitted to an appropriate anchorage point or structure, directly to any one of the IKAR tripods (bracket required) or alternatively can be mounted directly on to scaffold poles, box section or a wall (requires additional bracket).
These devices have been manufactured, tested and certified in Germany to conform to the European Standards EN360 (Retractable Type Fall Arrest Device) and EN1496 as a Rescue/Recovery Device.
